Our #TeamWater Campaign:
$41 million raised in 31 days!!

Congratulations to our client WaterAid and #TeamWater for successfully raising $41 million in just 31 days through the month of August to provide 2 million people with life-changing access to clean water for decades!

Only the phenomenal media personalities Jimmy Donaldson AKA Mr. Beast and Mark Rober could have completed the biggest campaign for clean water in the world in such a short time frame by mobilizing a vast global network of creators and donors. Of course, the fundraising team, of which we were a part, planned and worked together on the project for over a year before it launched.

The work to provide the water will be carried out by WaterAid in partnership with local communities, governments, partners and a whole host of people critical to delivering a sustainable supply of clean water, with specific projects in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Colombia, Mozambique, Nigeria and Rwanda, and by working with local partners to reach communities in Brazil, Kenya and the USA.

Hot Off the Press! Giving USA 2025

As a supporter of the Giving USA Foundation and member firm of the The Giving Institute, Prasad Consulting & Research is excited to announce today's release of Giving USA 2025. Our President, Poonam Prasad serves on the Editorial Review Board and contributed some comments to the Giving to Individuals section of the Good to Know chapter. PCR Team Member Kelly Evers serves on the Advisory Council on Methodology External Peer Review Board

The report provides extensive giving data and a comprehensive overview and analysis of US donors’ enduring generosity in 2024. Total estimated charitable giving in the United States reached $592.50 billion in 2024. Total giving grew by 6.3% in current dollars, and grew by 3.3% when adjusted for inflation, buoyed by a strong stock market and GDP growth. The increase in total giving, was led by increases in individual and corporate giving.

For the first time in the last three years, total giving outpaced inflation as inflation rates moderated from those seen in recent years. However, despite a 6.3% growth in current dollars, and although total giving reaching a new high by that measure, adjusted for inflation, giving increased by only 3.3%. The inflation-adjusted record-high year for total giving remains 2021, during the depths of the pandemic when US donors rallied mightily to alleviate suffering both here and abroad.
