Honoring Susan Ulin

The fundraising profession lost a valued colleague, Susan Ulin, on September 15th, 2024. Below are some tributes from Women in Development including Poonam Prasad's personal salute.

Jane F. Karlin, Ph.D., past WID president and board member:
"Susan opened paths to board and organizational leadership and to owning businesses that help fundraisers and their organizations realize their aspirations. She was ahead of her time, and everything she did was done with intelligence, grace, and a smile that lit up the room."

Poonam Prasad, past WID president and board member:
“I first met Susan Ulin on a board I served on, when I moved to New York a few decades ago. She became a role model, a mentor and a friend that I looked forward to seeing regularly and learning from, at those meetings. I am proud that as soon as her term on that board was over, I was able to get her involved with WID, where she made outstanding contributions to our community over these many past years.”
