Charitable organizations fared well in 2016 with total giving reaching $390.05 billion, which included strong growth in individual giving. Giving USA 2017: The Annual Report of Philanthropy in Year 2016 was the 62nd annual report on giving and the traditional report focused on individuals, corporations, foundations and bequests and the impact these gifts had on today’s nonprofits – helping fundraising and philanthropy professionals to understand and take advantage of the changes in philanthropy, refocus nonprofit outreach to donors, and compare individual organizational findings with national trends.
Join Poonam Prasad, President of Prasad Consulting and Research, a Director of The Giving Institute, and NYU SPS Heyman faculty member, as she moderates a panel discussion with Rachel Hutchisson, Chair of The Giving Institute and Vice President of Corporate Citizenship and Philanthropy, Blackbaud, Inc., Jane Karlin, Senior Vice President, Israel and Global Philanthropy, The Jewish Agency for Israel North America Council, and Jill Scibilia, Vice President for Philanthropy and External Relations for the Girl Scouts of New York, in which they review and examine the Annual Report on Philanthropy for 2016 and discuss national trends in growth, future giving, and models for fundraising campaigns.
There will be a networking reception immediately following the panel discussion.
